A Favorite Boutique:
If you’re ever in Moorea, don’t miss Taianapa Artist’s House Boutique—a true gem right across from Les Tipaniers Hotel in Ha’apiti. This place feels like an intimate art gallery, offering exclusive works of art, from paintings to traditional tifaifai quilts and jewelry. I’ve visited twice, taking the boat from Tahiti, to find the perfect treasures to decorate my room. It’s the ideal spot for unique souvenirs too!

A Favorite Island:
I have two favorites: Ra’iatea & Taha’a.
Ra’iatea, known as the cradle of Polynesian civilization, is home to the most important Marae (sacred open-air temple) in all of Polynesia, and UNESCO World Heritage classified site. To me, the island is a paradise for nature lovers with stunning landscapes like the botanical gardens, the Faaroa River, the Gabbros garden and stunning views. There are so many activities too—hiking, e-biking, kayaking down the Faaroa River… Pure bliss!

Taha’a, Raiatea’s little sister, is the island of vanilla, producing over 80% of Polynesia’s vanilla. It’s perfect for snorkeling, with vibrant coral gardens, and also offers great adventures like quad biking, e-biking, vanilla plantation tours, and even rum distillery visits. The warmth and hospitality of the locals here stole my heart. The true Polynesian spirit!
The mana (spiritual energy) I felt on these two islands is something truly unique.

A Favorite Hotel:
Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts is my absolute favorite. The bungalows are beautifully decorated, and the lush gardens are perfectly maintained. There’s a gorgeous collection of Polynesian art throughout the hotel, creating an immersive experience. Plus, it’s the only hotel with a museum dedicated to the history of Bora Bora and its connection to the Americans during WWII.

A Favorite Restaurant:
Maru Maru is a cozy, family-style restaurant located on a street lined with century-old trees. It’s intimate and humble, with just a few tables, so booking in advance is a must! The chef takes you on a flavorful journey, highlighting and elevating local ingredients. I fell in love with the ‘uru gnocchi in a creamy coconut-based sauce, mitihue. Simply divine!
