In the chronology of human settlement of lands across the Pacific, around the dawn of the last millennium, our Tupuna, or ancestors, made a venture of life into the unknown as they left the only homeland they and their families had ever known… somewhere around the Tongan Islands.
They traveled from the west discovering that islands far to the east existed and that the earth was not flat, unlike what the thinkers of the western world said.
These were intrepid voyagers, mastering the winds and the currents, following the movements of the celestial bodies to find their way on the ocean, understanding the laws Mother Nature gave to take full advantage of the fruits of the sea, and the bounties of the soil of the islands. (Read more)
