Spotlight on: Tupai
In the heart of the Pacific, just a short helicopter flight from Bora Bora, lies a breathtaking wonder—Tupai, a heart-shaped atoll that stands as a striking testament to the power and beauty of the natural world.
Often called Tupai, the Heart of the Ocean, this remarkable atoll is considered one of the most romantic places on Earth. From above, its perfect heart-shaped form is awe-inspiring. According to ancient legend, Tupai was once dedicated to Pere, the Polynesian goddess of fire and passion—a fitting guardian for such a passionate place.
Located just 6 kilometers north of Bora Bora in the Society Islands, Tupai is a secluded paradise for nature lovers. Home to a variety of endemic species, it offers untouched white-sand beaches and a crystal-clear lagoon that shimmer with serenity.
Its beaches are also an important nesting ground for sea turtles.
Indigenous birds such as the Tuamotu fruit dove and the Polynesian falcon can often be spotted among the lush vegetation, adding to the atoll’s rich biodiversity.
Tupai is more than a destination—it’s a symbol of love, life, and the enduring magic of the Pacific.
