This half a day excursion will allow you to enjoy both the seaside and the unique terrestrial beauty of the most pristine part of the island of Tahiti. You will be taken by boat to the tourist site of Vaipoiri, where you will go upriver to visit the legendary grotto of Vaipoiri. Be sure to take advantage of having a refreshing bath in the pure water of the river.
Just a few minutes by boat from Vaipoiri will bring you to the awesome waves of Teahupoo, renown throughout the world. Magnificent, fabulous, impressive, gigantic… there are many adjectives to describe these waves, and you do not have to be a surfer to admire their powerful beauty.
During this outing you will also appreciate the exuberant vegetation and the dramatic scenery unique to Te Pari cliffs.

Our Opinion
This outing is the most pleasant for families and friends: serene, tranquil, not too quiet, not too sporty, this excursion takes you to the two most visited sites on the peninsula - the Vaipoiri grotto and the waves of Teahupoo. The boat ride is made inside the lagoon, in an area sheltered from the ocean swell, pleasing children of all ages as they navigate safely and without apprehension. The river bath is certainly a moment that marks the minds of the young and old, especially when they meet the sacred eels.
