Rangiroa - Full day

Expedition & Discovery / Lagoon & Ocean

In the magnificent lagoon of the island of Rangiroa, at the East extremity, near the islet Vahituri, you will find a unique Pink Sands area. It is a 1h30 navigation, in a wonderful context. When the tropical sun’s light meets with the sand, the effect is just amazing, making it a beautiful natural phenomenon. Sand dunes come out the middle of the lagoon, with that charming pink aspect, due to the crumbled shells of strata, offering you a stunning scenery! These corals sands with delicate glints are covered by clear water, warm and crystalline, all you need for snorkeling. The tour includes a delicious picnic lunch prepared from local ingredients in a wild islet, located 15 minutes by boat of the Pink Sand area, surrounded by corals garden that you absolutely have to watch in free diving. The visit ends in the Tiputa pass, where you may even have the chance to admire the dolphins, swimming and jumping through the waves.

Our Opinion

This visit by boat will bring you to one of the most beautiful sites of Rangiroa, on a stunning sand dune. It might be hard to imagine but the sand is light pink, like the inside of shells. That moment insides the lagoon offers you absolute beauty. A few centimeters of water only, some pink and white sands, birds, rays, blacktipped sharks... A tour as fascinating as interesting!
