A unique experience
  • Observe the turtles in their environment and feed them!
  • Become a turtle keeper for a day.
  • An original way to do eco-tourism!

The turtle protection center of Bora Bora is located within the hotel complex of Le Méridien, in the hotel’s private lagoon.
This unique center in its conception and localization, aims at safeguarding two species of endangered sea turtles and protecting coral reefs.
Educational sessions are conducted to discover these species and to make the local population and the tourists aware of the safeguarding and the sustainable development.
This major ecological project has started when a client brought back to the hotel an injured turtle in need of care.
From this, a center has been created in order to protect and to help the turtles.
The center takes care of them and can even count on volunteer clients to be part of the turtle’s care with feeding, lagoon inspection…
The visitors can simply look at the turtles through the glass underwater observatory and watch them at mealtime every morning.
