Description
Raiatea island has gorgeous forests with lush vegetation. Guided by a certified guide, you will go discovering the 3 waterfalls in Hamoa, the heart of the island. The hike starts at the foot of Mount Temehani on the East coast. The path winds between giant roots of mape, and along the river that you will have to cross a few times. The bamboo forests, planted formerly for his many uses reflect the valley history formerly inhabited. The hike will successively reveal the 3 waterfalls all along the track. The path is lined by giant ferns and step by step you will discover the second waterfall which is about 20 meters high. The trail is then equipped with a cord to climb to the third waterfall. This waterfall is 50 meters high and has a nice pool where you can have a swim. On your way back you will take the same path.

Raiatea is a sacred island, origin of the settlement of the Polynesian triangle. Rich in history, this island offers wonderful hikes! One of the most famous walks to do inside the island is the 3 waterfalls.
